Nothing makes us happier than a design wish granted!

A pair of lovely, long-time clients had always dreamed of an all-white kitchen but didn’t want to deal with the stress of starting over from scratch, so they called on IDH to see if their vision could be achieved without turning their home (or their wallet) upside down – challenge accepted!

Because we like to do things in a signature way, we began this transformation by selecting an off-white subway tile installed in a chevron pattern, offering a twist on a classic look and giving the backsplash a fresh, updated feel.

We called in our experts to paint the existing dark wood cabinetry a creamy off-white, a move that gave our client’s incredible bang for their buck, visually doubling the size of their space at a fraction of the cost it would have been to replace their cabinetry entirely.

To further expand the Kitchen visually, we did away with the dark counters and replaced them with off-white granite boasting just a fleck of grey and deep blue.

For a striking final note, we added a pair of handsome counter stools upholstered in navy fabric with a soft blue accent stripe. This was a strategic move to pull in an important accent color from the adjacent Family Room, thus creating cohesion throughout the open-concept first floor.
